Booking Policy

The booking policies for the Deccan Odyssey:
You are required to pay 20% of ticket value at the time of booking confirmation.
Rest 80% of the ticket value is to be paid 45 days before departure.

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policies for Deccan Odyssey train journeys:
In case of FITs
If the cancellation is made 60 days prior to departure, no cancellation charges.
If the cancellation is made 45 to 59 days prior to departure, 20% of the ticket value will be forfeited.
If the cancellation is made 30 to 44 days prior to departure, 50% of the ticket value will be forfeited.
If the cancellation is made 29 days prior to departure, 100% of the ticket value will be forfeited.

GOLDEN TREASURE ITINERARY

Day 01: Assembling at Delhi Cantt Station- Agra
After you arrive in capital, assemble at the Delhi Cantt Railway Station where you would enjoy a warm welcome with a Tikka and a garland. After completing the check-in formalities get aboard the train and settle yourself in your designated cabin. Relish the welcome drink and explore this scintillating luxury train. The train chugs off from the train towards Agra, the first destination of the itinerary.

Day 02: Agra
On the 2nd day of the tour, the train arrives in the Mughal City of Agra, which is extremely popular for housing some of the most magnificent structures, the architectural marvels of the Mughal times. After breakfast, the first visit is to the white marble mausoleum of the TajMahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Later, visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb, fondly known as the 'Baby Taj', followed by the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Agra Fort. The next visit is to another World Heritage Site of the FatehpurSikri, founded by Emperor Akbar in 1569. Back on the train for an overnight stay.

Day 03: SawaiMadhopur (Ranthambore)- Jaipur
Today, the train reaches SawaiMadhopur. De-board the train to visit the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, now world-popular Ranthambore National Park, known for housing the big cats in great numbers. After morning and afternoon wildlife safari, you continue your journey towards the beautiful capital city of the royal Rajasthan, Jaipur, also known as the 'Pink City'. Visit the popular palaces and later the bustling local bazaars to collecting interesting souvenirs such as imitation jewelry, apparels, gems, handicrafts etc. after a gala dinner at a special venue, back to the train for an overnight stay.

Day 04: New Delhi
On the last day, the train arrives back to Delhi. After relishing breakfast on-board, complete the check-out formalities and de-board the train. The journey comes to an end.

One of the most colorful states in India, Gujarat is known for its abundance of wealth depicted through its picturesque landscape, great historical sites and long stretches of coastal lines. Beginning from ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus, the week long journey will cover famous tourist places in Gujarat which include Vadodara, Bhavanagar, SasanGir, Little Rann of Kutch and Ahmedabad. Some popular attractions that you will come across include the World Heritage Site of Champaner-Pavagadh, historic monuments at Palitana and Modhera and shoot Lions at SasanGir Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 01: Mumbai (Arrival)
Upon your arrival at ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus in Mumbai, board the train and begin your journey towards the royal city of the Gaekwads, Vadodara. Overnight stay and dinner on board the train.

Day 02: Vadodara
On the 2nd day, take a road trip to Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient town is full of archaeological remains. Later, you will be taken to the magnificent Laxmi Vilas Palace for a high tea. Laxmi Vilas Palace is the erstwhile residence of the Royal Family. It was constructed when Gaekwad prominent Maratha family started ruling the Baroda state. Overnight stay and dinner on board the train.

Day 03: Bhavnagar
On the 3rd day, Deccan Odyssey will enter the precincts of Bhavnagar. Later, take an excursion to Palitana, a town famous for its spectacular cluster of Jain temples built entirely out of marble. Overnight Stay and dinner on board the train.

Day 04: SasanGir
Upon your arrival in SasanGir, take an excursion to the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary, the famed home to the only surviving population of Asiatic Lions and a myriad variety of birds and other creatures. Overnight Stay and dinner on board the train.

Day 05: Little Rann of Kutch
The day 5 is scheduled with a trip to the Little Rann of Kutch, a salty marshland located near the Great Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The Little Rann of Kutch is famous as the world's largest refuge of the Indian Wild Ass (Khur). Apart from this, there are villages and settlements renowned for their traditional embroideries and weaving. Overnight stay and dinner on board the train.

Day 06: Modhera
Early morning, on the 6th day, take a road trip towards the 11th century Sun Temple and the Rani-ka-Vav step well, the finest example of cavernous architecture for water management. In the afternoon, you'll have a chance for exploring the Veechar Utensils Museum displaying utensils that dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization. Day 07: Ahmedabad

Day 03: Agra
On the 3rd day, the Deccan Odyssey arrives in Agra, famed as the Mughal City. Have your breakfast on-board followed by a city tour of Agra. You get a chance to explore the world-popular structures that were built during the Mughal Era. The first visit of the day is to the enchanting TajMahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, a while-marble mausoleum. Later in the day visit another popular monument Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb. The last attraction that you visit is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Agra Fort. Overnight on-board.

Day 04: Jaipur
Today the train arrives in Jaipur, the vibrant capital city of the Royal State of Rajasthan. Also known as the Pink City, historical Jaipur is home to amazing palaces, forts and much more. You visit the popular monuments of this city. Later, indulge in shopping at the eclectic mesmerizing bazaars of this city wherein you can get some amazing handicrafts, Indian apparels, imitation jewelry, gems, like nowhere else in the world. The evening is scheduled for a gala dinner at a special venue. Go back to the train for staying overnight.

Day 05: Jodhpur
On day 5, the train arrives at the Blue City, Jodhpur. Relish tasty fresh breakfast aboard. Post breakfast, leave the train for exploring this beautiful historic city. Spend the day by partaking in the well-known Old market of Jodhpur, where you can also collect souvenirs. The day also includes a visit to the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort, placed 400 feet above the city level, offering an amazing view of the surrounding area. Overnight stay aboard the Deccan Odyssey.

Day 06: Udaipur
Today, the train reaches Udaipur, famous for being one of India's most romantic cities. Breakfast on-board, followed by a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit some of the most popular tourist attractions of this 'City of Lakes'. Visit the City Palace, and later Fateh Prakash Palace, known for housing the stunning Crystal Gallery, owning world's single largest private collection of crystal. Thereafter, you enjoy a leisure walk through the picturesque old city streets. The evening is scheduled for a boat ride in the placid waters of the Lake Pichola. Overnight on-board the train.

Day 07: Vadodara
On the 7th day, the train enters Vadodara, the city of the Gaekwads. Once you have your breakfast, get down from the train to indulge in sightseeing, including city's popular attractions such as the beautiful Jama Masjid. Day 01: New Delhi
Arrive at the Delhi Cantt Station (New Delhi) to board the Indian Sojourn journey of the Deccan Odyssey India Luxury Train. Get the traditional welcome. Thereafter, as you enjoy the welcome drink, explore the lavish interiors of the train. As the train chugs towards its eventful journey, get settled in your royal cabins. Day 02: SawaiMadhopur
In the morning, the train arrives at the SawaiMadhopur. The day is to be spent in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. The tiger reserve was formerly the private hunting space of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Explore the rich flora and fauna of the national park through morning and afternoon safaris. The guides also provided proper information about the national park and flora & fauna. While on safari, do not miss to spot the elusive big cats. After full-day excursion, return to the train and continue with the journey towards next destination.

Day 03: Jaipur
Early morning, the train arrives at Jaipur. After breakfast, detrain the Deccan Odyssey and explore the Pink City. The city is best known for its majestic forts and beautiful Palaces, dotted throughout the city. Additionally, visit the colorful bazaars of Jaipur and do not miss to buy some of the unique artifacts for your family and friends. Return to train to continue with the journey. As the train chugs towards the next destination, enjoy scrumptious dinner onboard.

Day 04: Agra
The train arrives at Agra in the morning. The city is also famed for being the major Mughal Citadel. The day is decided to be enjoyed exploring the architectural richness of the city. The iconic TajMahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and also one of the World Heritage Sites announced by UNESCO. The full-day excursion also includes visit to various other architectural gems of the Mughal Empire, such as the majestic Agra Fort and the Itmad-ud-Daulah. Later, return to the train; enjoy dinner onboard as the luxury travel train moves to the next destination.

Day 05: Sanchi
The luxury train arrives at Sanchi in the morning. The day is to be spent exploring the richness of the Buddhist city of Sanchi. The city is one of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. Enjoy the day exploring the well-preserved Stupas, which are said to be built from the 3rd century BC to the 12th century AD, over a period of thirteen hundred years. After the full-day excursion in Sanchi, return to the train. Dinner will be served onboard.

Day 06: Aurangabad / Ajanta Caves
The train reaches Aurangabad; detrain and drive to Ajanta Caves. These magnificent caves have also been listed as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Explore the site and witness the exquisite ancient frescos, sculptures and murals that beautifully portray the life of Lord Buddha. After the full-day excursion, return to the train and continue with the journey towards next destination. Enjoy dinner onboard.

Day 07: Daulatabad / Ellora Caves
The luxury train arrives at Daulatabad as the day is decided to explore the magnificence of Ellora Caves. The architectural brilliance is one of the major factors that qualifies the attraction to be listed as the UNESCO's World Heritage Site. The Kailasha Temple is one of the outstanding structures, which has been carved out of a giant monolith. The temple is also acclaimed to be one of the finest specimens of rock cut architecture. JEWELS OF THE DECCAN ITINERARY

Day 01: Mumbai
Upon you arrival at ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus in Mumbai, board the train and start your journey towards Badami, famous for its rock-cut caves. Dinner and overnight stay on board the train.

Day 02: Badami
Upon your arrival at Badami, de-board the train and embark on a sightseeing tour of Pattadakal and Aihole-known for its ancient settlements and beautiful temples. The temple complex at Aihole and has the potential to be included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The village has 125 temples segregated into 22 groups by the archaeological department. On the other hand, Pattadakal is famous for the monuments built during the reign of Chalukya dynasty. Post sightseeing, return back to the train for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: Badami (Sightseeing)
In the morning, disembark the train and visit the rock-cut caves and sculpted temples in Badami. Some popular monuments include Badami Fort, MalegattiShivalaya, The Dattatreya Temple, The Mallikarjuna Temple and the temple of Banashankari. Post sightseeing, return to the train and depart for Hospet.

Day 04: Hospet (sightseeing)
Today, Deccan Odyssey will take you to the hot spots of Hospet. Start by visiting Hampi, the famous City of Victory. The city is located within the ruins of Vijayanagara, the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Here you'll get to see important palaces and impressive temples such as Virupaksha Temple, Vittala Temple and Krishna Temple. Post sightseeing, return back to Hospet for dinner and travel down to Bijapur.

Day 05: Bijapur
On the day 5, Deccan Odyssey will bring you into the heart of Bijapur, the historic capital of the Sultan of the Deccan. De-board the train and embark on a sightseeing tour of Bijapur which include visits to GolGumbaz, Ibrahim Rauza, Malik-e-Maidan, GaganMahal and SaatKhabar. Post sightseeing, return to the train for onwards journey, Dinner and overnight stay onboard the train in Bijapur.

Day 06: Hyderabad
Today, in the morning, disembark the train and visit Hyderabad, the Royal City of the Nizams. Later, take an excursion to Pochampally, the place popular for its PochampallyIkat style saris and threads. In the evening, visit the famous Charminar and explore the sights and sounds of Hyderabad on foot. Later, return back to the train for dinner and night stay.

Day 07: Hyderabad (sightseeing)
In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour to explore the magnificent ruins of the Golconda Fort. Golconda is located 11 kilometers west of Hyderabad. In the afternoon, the train chugs its way towards Mumbai.

Day 08: Mumbai (Departure)
On the 8th day, you will return back to ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus, where your journey comes to an end.

Day 01: Mumbai (Arrival)

Day 02: Ellora Caves
On the 2nd day of Maharashtra Splendor, proceed on a visit Ellora Caves, a popular UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Ellora Caves are a unique artistic creation and exhibits a seamless blend of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain heritage. Apart from these caves, you will visit BibikaMaqbara, a replica of the TajMahal. Day 03: Tadoba Tiger Reserve
Upon your arrival at the Tadoba Tiger Reserve, enjoy the thrill of spotting wildlife in their natural turf. Spend an adventurous day with morning and afternoon safaris. Dinner and overnight stay on board the train.

Day 04: Ajanta Caves

Day 05: Nashik

Day 07: Goa
